About

Our Mission

At HeartOfTheSIX, we’re here to stand up for human rights by working side-by-side with our communities. Through education, awareness, and meaningful action, we strive to create a space where every voice matters and every person is treated with dignity and respect. Our hands-on approach is rooted in compassion and connection, because real change begins when we come together.

Our Founding

HeartOfTheSIX was founded at St. Andrew’s College in Aurora by two students, Alessandro Caruso and Marco Montemurro, who wanted to make a difference beyond the walls of their school. What began as an idea between friends has been in the works for over a year and has grown into a non-profit dedicated to reaching communities across the GTA that are too often overlooked. Our mission is simple and clear: to deliver opportunities such as warm meals, toys, and other forms of support to families and individuals who need them most.

Our founders bring both passion and experience. Alessandro is a committed DECA competitor, a top debater in private school tournaments, and an active participant in Model UN. He also plays select hockey for the Vaughan Rangers and has represented his school in the York Region Robotics Competition. Marco serves as a Prefect at St. Andrew’s, runs the Multicultural Club, and is a well-regarded soccer player who demonstrates leadership and teamwork in everything he does. Together, Alessandro and Marco also founded the Marketing Club at SAC, showing their drive to build communities both inside and outside of the classroom.

HeartOfTheSIX has been shaped around the belief that small actions can inspire meaningful change. By combining leadership, creativity, and genuine care for others, our team is working to create a culture of giving back. Through our programs and outreach, we hope to inspire others to join us in building stronger, more supportive communities across the Greater Toronto Area. We invite anyone who shares this vision to get involved and help us make a difference.
